Chapter: 45 - Permit Regulations for Food Processing and Establishments

Section: 10 - Persons and businesses required to obtain permits

It is unlawful for any person or any servant or employee thereof to maintain or operate a food facility (as defined by Health and Safety Code Section 113785),or other place or vehicle in which food is prepared for sale or manufacture, packed, stored, sold or otherwise disposed of for human consumption at retail (as defined by Health and Safety Code Section 113875)within the county of Del Norte, without first obtaining a permit therefore from the County Health Officer.  The County Health Officer shall not issue a permit unless and until it appears that the applicant therefore is in compliance with the California Uniform Retail Food Facilities Law, Division 104, Part 7, California Health and Safety Code and with all provisions of this Ordinance relative to the maintenance and operation of a food facility.  When issued, the permit shall be kept on display in a prominent place on the premises of the food facility for which it is issued.
