Section: 110 - Signs for Private and County facilities

A. Except as provided in California Vehicle Code Section 22511.9, the posting required for an off street parking facility owned or operated either privately or by the county shall consist of a sign not less than seventeen by twenty-two inches (17”x22”) in size with lettering not less than one inch (1”) in height which clearly and conspicuously states the following: "Unauthorized vehicles not displaying distinguishing placards or license plates issued for disabled persons will be towed away at owner's expense. Towed vehicles may be reclaimed at (address of towing service) or by telephoning (telephone number of towing service)."

The sign shall be posted in either of the following locations:

1. Immediately adjacent to, and visible from, the stall or space.
2. In a conspicuous place at each entrance to the off street parking facility.

B. If the parking facility is privately owned and public parking is prohibited by the posting of a sign meeting the requirements of paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of California Vehicle Code Section 22658, the sign requirements of this section may be met by the posting of a sign immediately adjacent to, and visible from, each stall or space indicating that a vehicle not meeting the requirements of Section 10.10.90 will be removed at the owner's expense and containing the telephone number of the local traffic law enforcement agency.
