Section: 20 - Smith River

The portion of the Smith River from the Rainey Collector water tower, owned by the city of Crescent City, which is located approxi­mately one-half mile up river from the Doctor Fine Bridge on Highway 101, to the point where the Middle Fork and the South Fork meet is designated for a  "special use area" where it is unlawful for any person to operate a motorized vehicle on the water, including, but not limited to, personal watercraft, jet skis, jet boats, and out­board motors. The provisions of this section shall not apply to duly authorized and acting agents of the United States Government, of the state, of the county, or of other public entities.
