Section: 70 - Benefits

A. Board member benefits are established equal to current Elected Department Head benefits. These benefits are county health insurance, including vision and dental, at a cost of 5% of compensation; dependent covered health insurance at the rates provided in the approved county health plan; county paid term life insurance in the amount of $100,000 plus a year of salary or two (2) years’ salary (whichever is greater); travel and transportation reimbursement as provided in the Del Norte County Code; Retiree Medical Benefits beginning after completion of two full terms or ten (10) years of county service at the rates in the approved county health plan; and membership in the Del Norte County Employees' Retirement System in the applicable plan based on date of hire.
