It is unlawful for any person to carry on or about his person any revolver or pistol or concealed weapon without first having obtained permission therefor from the board of supervisors provided that the sheriff and district attorney can concurrently grant to any person temporary permission to carry such weapon until the next meeting of the board of supervisors, and every person having such weapon shall surrender and deliver it to any peace officer immediately upon demand, whether they have secured such permit or not.
